The DECON team served as the Environmental Engineer of Record for the environmental decommissioning of the former Meadow Gold Dairies manufacturing plant in Honolulu, HI. The former Meadow Gold Dairies manufacturing plant consisted of three non-contiguous properties at 824 Sheridan St., 1302 Elm St. and 925 Cedar St. Tasks conducted by the DECON team included:
- Applying for and obtaining the required environmental facility closure permits
- Preparing the required hazardous waste management plans,
- Removing and properly disposing-of the hazardous materials located throughout the facility
- Decontaminating the on-site facility wastewater treatment plant
- Conducting air monitoring for dust and hazardous material exposure during hazardous material removal activities
- Preparing the required environmental facility closure report for submittal to governing environmental regulatory agency,
- Obtaining closure of the on-site wastewater treatment plant
- Obtaining environmental closure of the facility
